My daughters has recently got a job as an apprentice hairdresser in a good salon but her hands are suffering like hell with all the chemicals. We have done some digging around but the advise varies immensely. She does were gloves but some drag on peoples scalps when washing and some of the barrier creams do nothing to help.

If there's any hairdressers on here or if your Maudes an hairdresser can you let me know their prefered gloves and creams (before/after) just what they prefer.
She's been told if she carries on suffering badly with it she will have to call it a day hairdressing which is worrying her like hell.

you know I was on about this O'Keefes cream to the missus and she's like no no she needs to go the Docs. I read the Amazon reviews and it's suppose to be very good so I just nipped the local screwfix and grabbed her some.
I'll get hert to use it morning and night and get back to this thread to let you know if it works or not

Hi Silverdale
Just in case, could the gloves that they are using be the cause.
For when I worked in the hospital stores, I was delivering various types of gloves some of which were powder free, because of the latex.

Hope this helps
