Guys,
It's been busy in here lately with all the 'alleged' workarounds that do or don't work.

My question is has anyone successfully stopped the 'new' firmware being downloaded to their modem and if so what exactly is your setup ?

i.e modem model , what type of mac and whether you have done the pin 11 mod or 'max downloads' mod.

Hopefully we can get this cleared up

no dont think there is a way around it yet sum ppl say the 11 pin mod works others say it dosent my apinion is to go buy a surfboard modem as you can force new firmware 2 them

That would be y fleaby is chocca with Ambits and the surfboards have gone throught the roof then
