Indeed you can but many line providers don’t support it on tvs due to the cost to them. Cheap Firestick ( or free thanks to @river4ever ). Does the trick for smarters

IPTV smarters is “not” that expensive for providers. Its only £90 for them to get DNS registered with them for smart TVs.
If provider does not offer it then that speaks volumes.

Or as said a firestick/android box.

The advantage of smarters on a portable device is goes we’re you want even hotels with fast enough bb etc etc.

Gone for the LG one in the end I get two year warranty with it just hope the company if ok as saying waiting for payment to clear before sending tv
