sky plus

hi
i have been given a skyplus box without card, someone upgraded to hd and gave me there old box.
i just wanted to know, if i could use my old sky card in the box and through my old didsh.
it only has one wire as apose to the sky plus two. i only want to use it for freeview and possibly record or catchup tv.

Yes should be ok. You should get the fta (free to air) channels. or for one off £20.00 fee phone sky for a freesat from sky card and you will get sky 3 and maybe some others. The Recording function will not work as you have to pay sky about £10.00 a month to activate it. hope it helps.

i will try my old sky box 1st i think.. had it for years and was still working with freeview up till 12 months ago when i got myself another europian box... no names mention and was very god while it lasted... damn the n3 virgin people...
