Silent PSU

    hi guys i need to know if any one can recomend a silent psu, my buget is £80, i was considring the Antec Phantom 500w which is about £120 but it goes for around £70 on ebay for a new 1.

    any recomendations apriciated.

    my pc case is atx.

    antec ok..ish,i had an antec 500w psu and had nothing but trouble so i took it back and went and brought one of these

    i only paid about 70 quid and i have never had any troubles since,comes with good warranty too,have a look

    Is that a silent psu?

    I am looking for one that is ultra silent which one can not hear much.

    As the saying goes, you gets what you pay for.
    I have bought from these peeps (Quiet PC) on several occasions, always good service.

    Have a look at this one.

    zalman ATX Noiseless PSU

    There are cheaper ones listed and noticed one at the end of the list which you can get B Grade.

    I have narrowed them down to the following, what do you guys thinj?

    Zalman ZM600-HP Heatpipe Cooled 600W Modular PSU
    Nesteq 520W PSU ( 0dBA with SSM )
    Nesteq ASM 620W
    Antec Phantom 500W

    Modular is the way to go, improves air flow around the case by not having the 'spare' cables not plugged in.

    I have a Tagan 550w, quiet as a mouse....

    aav got a ruby orb cpu fan, very quite.
