Further to my earlier thread I can now tell you that I got a Philex SLX 1 for £7.99 from Argos and it works great. Funny thing was that I rang the manufactuer before buying and they said it wouldn't work with cable. Decided to risk it and hey presto is DOES work. Funny old world innit?

But remember use it for tv but dont use it with a cable modem cos the modems require a return path and these boosters dont provide one.

good point, ive got it positioned after the modem branch so all seems ok.
