instead it reads like this

uncommited
sattelite
hence it wont let me scan any help would be much appreciated

that sounds like a bad flash, but i could be wrong, what image is on the box? have you tried another image?

Sounds like it's been flashed for satellite and not cable mate.

What image are you trying to use? it could be a tuner fault if the cable tuner is not detected on boot up the image will default to sat. Try a reflash first, if it still reverts to sat you've prob got a hardware fault, in that case post a boot log.

Hi

I think thebigman is spot on, if tuner is faulty it will default to sat as Ive had that with a couple of boxes that had tuner faults.

Regards

tried a reflash still going to sattellite posted what i think is a bootlog any advice out there

is this a new box m8 or been working on cable previously ? i.e is does it have a cable tuner or is it a sat tuner ?

threaded connector of f type.

I know this might be obvious to some but it's sometimes the obvious that catch's you out.
