Tech News Satellite Broadband

At those prices definitely not for me, you can get a big virgin bundle for that monthly price.

Yep probably right, yet you can go way out in the sticks in places like Thailand and get signal. We are supposed to be an advanced country but still can't get broadband and phone signal in parts of our countryside.

I've done a few Tooway installs for folk in the sticks who can't get DSL or even 3G. Trouble is the satellite is geostat at 22,000 miles away so the lag (ping usually around 800ms) makes it feel really slow even though download speeds are up to 50Mbps.
Like everything else, I'm sure the prices will drop as more and more customers sign up - let's hope the speeds don't drop accordingly.
