Sagem sepcifications

Hi

I know sagmes have either 1 or 2 chips, but I was wondering how many chips usually comes with the avia 600 models?

Normally 1 chip.... nearly 90% of sagem boxes are 1x.
Always best to check tho, as there are still quite a few sagems which have 2 chips in them.

the easiest way to check is to take the top off and look for chips
the intel chips are marked with intel flash

any good reasons why I shouldn't buy a box without two chips?

Nope.... 1 chip boxes are 2 chip boxes do the exact same thing; and there is no noticable difference between them whatsoever.

to me the only differencei see is that it is slightly faster to flash a 2 chip box than a 1 chip box

The 2nd chip isnt just for decoration Its actually there so that the dbox overheats more and causes more sticking and freezing problems for us users... without those, a dbox just wouldnt be the same

On a box with 1x flash chip the intel flash chip hold 8 megs datas and on a box with 2x flash chip each flash chip holds 4 megs datas. The sum is the same, 8 meg flash memory.
