Router and Dreambox networking

hey all, some advice needed

I've got my dreambox connected to a router. Just wanted to know if i can log into the box via telnet or ssh it from a location outside the house i.e work. If poss could someone kindly put a tut together to explain how to set it up. Thankyou.

for telnet m8 forward port 23 to the internal IP of the dreambox (192.168.1.24 for example) in the router settings, see portforward.com for how to, then when in work open a dos window type in telnet and your ISP IP and itll as you for username and password for dreambox and thats it

it works

Got it working on port 23 with telnet, but i'm having problems when i try and use these settings with my ftp program. it always refuses the connection. Any ideas why? thanks

You forwarded it to the right IP?
You connecting via port 23?
You made sure that its open properly on your router?

for ftp its port 21. You'll need to forward that too.
