Has anyone ever used Rigifix fixings before. They are for dot dab plasterboard walls.
If so are they any good.
Im gonna be hanging a 42 in plasma a bit later. Hope it stays put lol

You should in theory be able to find one joist as the normal studding is every 400mm.

If you can find one joist it would be very strong and then using the plaster board fixers to add extra strength.

Aslo if the wall has been dot and dabbed... you should try and drill further in and hit the wall and use propper sized raw plugs, this will be much stronger than just using plasterboard fixings.

centres are either 600 or 400mm apart

dot and dab is usually onto block work so you would go through the board into block work right ?

or is it a partitioned wall ?

He say dot n dab, no one would dot n dab onto stud walls...

go with the drill into the wall and use proper rawl plugs :)

I didn't quite get the question thats why the ? ? ? are there :)

I know you wouldn't dot and dab a stud wall

I know mate :) no problem

Well its up now
I used the rigi fixings. They are like proper rawl plugs and go into the brick behind the dot dab.
the difference is the rigifix stops the plasterboard collapsing in when you tighten them up.
Seems pretty solid.
