US, July 15, 2008 - This morning at the Television Critics Association press tour, FX's president John Landgraf solidified plans for the next season of Rescue Me. Landgraf reconfirmed that Season 5 will premiere in the spring of 2009 for 22 episodes.
Landgraf also confirmed recent reports that Marty McFly himself, Michael J. Fox, will be joining the show for a four episode arc, and also noted that Fox will first appear in the season premiere. He also revealed Fox will play Janet's (Andrea Roth) new boyfriend. The character is confined to a wheelchair, and Landgraf described him as, "a very funny, very original character."
Just have to put up with the minisodes until next year.
