I was watching some poker I downloaded last night on the pc and my monitor suddenly came up with the "Auto Adjusting" message . . without me pressing any of the monitor buttons.

Everything then starting looking really badly blurry, txt on websites, my wallpaper etc so I started looking around and spotted that my refresh rate was set to 60hz.

Tried to change it back to 75 but the only options are 59 and 60

I have an Acer AL1913w 19" Widescreen TFT monitor and a GeForce FX 5200 128Mb Agp Gfx Card.

Any ideas?

Eeek, doesn't sound good. You could try unticking the box that says "only show the modes this monitor can display" or w/e and selecting manually, but if it screws up you'll probably have to safe mode it to change back.

Could be the monitor itself I suppose, so a factory reset might cure it.

Or it could be your graphics card. Try re-installing the drivers or upgrading to the latest version.

Ive reinstalled the drivers to the lastes version, I've tried unticking the box regarding only showing the displays the monitor can handle ct etc

It aint any of that unfortunately. . .
