Can someone point me in the direction of what the rating column symbols mean in the threads?

The ratings have to do with the popularity of the treads

The more posts and the more times it's read, the higher the rating

Is it not just the result of the 'Rate Thread' vote (accessed by the 'Rate Thread' button at the top of each thread?)

Hi again.

Yes I know it is to do with how popular the thread is. It was the meaning of the symbols in the rating column I wanted to know what they were, ie paperclip, acorn, and what looks like a little letter, but is probally something else!

I presume there are 5 of them, for the five ratings of the thread? But have only ever seen those three

Not really sure if this is what you mean:

the paperclip means there is an attachment in the thread
there is a drawing pin indicating that the thread is a sticky
there are ticks in the threads you have posts in, or subscribed posts maybe.

Thats the only three I can see at the mo' ;)
