its been decided by the majority of the team that the Rant Room should be removed

main reasons for this are
it's a hard section to Moderate
can be quite libellous at times

we felt it really didn't bring to the forum what DW is really about

if you have a personal moan about something General Chat can be used,but it will be heavily Moderated

Had a look in there a few times but found mostly pointless rants that didnt make much sense or were offensive lol so good move... I think I started a thread in there once about big brother and the eurovision song contest lol
 
It will have to be or General Chat will become an updated Rant Room or a room to get Banned in.
Well done and hope you can moderate it effectively to maintain the standards we all expect from DW.
 
I have noticed some general chat threads already being moderated, hopefully this will continue and stop the religious arguments, even when some threads haven't been about religion, they seem to turn into a religious thread.

Some threads have been started in general chat and turned into a rant so what is the point of the rant room.Mods/admin do a good job keeping things in order so keep it up chaps.:Clap:.
 
Shame I enjoyed the rant room.
Easy for me to say as I didn't have to moderate it.

As it says in the rules admins/mods decision is final.

I think you know what we are trying to get away from :) we just don't want a room where it encourages moaning ;)

lol i'd already seen it ;)

i assume there aren't any women using the adult room, so you can hide in there TCM, although of course i could be wrong!
 
Should make our life's easier. One point to remember though is that the general chat section is NOT to become a rant room, otherwise the thread will be deleted and repeat offenders will have a forum holiday!

Yes I agree, it would be pointless removing rant room and allowing the same rants in general chat.

Can only be a good move for the forum (imho)
