Ahhhhh poor wee barry...

RANGERS captain Barry Ferguson needs ankle surgery and will be out for between three and four months.

The Ibrox skipper sustained the injury just two days into the club's pre-season training programme.

It is a new problem and unrelated to the ankle problems which plagued him at the end to last season.

The 30-year-old will be out for a minimum of three months, however, after missing out of pre-season it could be a few weeks after that before he is match fit again.
