Quick airlock cleaning tip

If, like me, you've left a couple of demijohns and airlocks without cleaning them and there are some ominous looking black mould in the U bit of said airlocks then a nylon cable tie is great for shoving in to poke bits out and to mix the sterilising powder around in there.

Should have gone with the other type of airlock from Wilko's.

Pipe-cleaners are better - but @MH could have told you that lol

These were odd airlocks, the ones with three bubbles in each chamber and one at the top. I doubt you'd get a pipe cleaner in :).

Two demijohns bubbling now, Wilko's Elderberry and another Black Cherry. On sale at £6.80 for six bottle kit but needs 450g sugar each so another £2.50 unless you want to use normal sugar.
