question on 3348 hyperterminal downgrade Tut

Please could anyone help... I have followed the tutorial on downgrading the Ambit 200 firmware. When I get to the end it says ' do the MaxDloadTries=0 fix before connecting the cable stream'....I aren't sure what this means.

This means make sure you do the No update commands before reconnecting it to the Cable Stream as this will stop the update of the firmware again.

Is it not the case that the 200 requires to be conected to the cable feed in order to stop it re-looping?

When I redone my 200 I had to allow it to boot up fully before I could properly access the CM prompt.

You can copy and paste the commands in, worked for me that way but I know wat u mean I did it like that the first time aswell

Thanks chaps. I searched the archives, copy and pasted the commands to set the max downloads to 0 and it worked
