PSP with 2.8 firmware, need to mod it help

I have got my young un a ds and whacked in a R4 card and hes well chuffed, unfortualty the other lad has a PSP and wants more games so, I really need to bite the bullit and try the homebrew. The firmware on the psp is 2.80. So I need a little help on what to do to downgrade it ect. All help will be most welcome

Check the stickies mate, there will be guides there for downgrading all psps. You will nee a luminies game or GTA to be able to downgrade. Or someone with a custom fw psp.

For a 2.80, you're actually in luck and NO game is needed. See here...
