Prob with tomtom on pda

My mate dropped off his pda with tom tom sware on sd card its just stopped working the tom tom sware doesnt show on the programs menu on the pda its on the memory card it has a gps receiver compact flash cart installed too.The pda seems to be ok it just wont see the tom tom program is there anything i can do ? noob to these pda`s many thx.ps its a Dell Axim model.

Try removing the sd card then switch the pda on, and insert the card. It may start a re-install.

Hi can you see the sd card when you use explorer if so look for a folder called 2577 if this exists then chances are that tomtom will reinstall when the card is inserted if not then it will have to be a manual install, so either look for the install files on the sd card or download fresh ones from the forum or torrent sites

Another thing you may want to do before extracting & re-inserting the SD Card... Go to
Settings -> Personal -> Today -> Items... if Tomtom is listed there, uncheck it, click ok and come out. Go back into Today -> Items, check Tomtom, click ok and come out.
It would have put Tomtom back on your main screen.

This is a common issue with Tomtom & Windows Mobile OS... that's the workaround.
