Dig your dbox back out the bin for the next PPV event. Apparently PPV is still unencrypted so all you need is a quick channel scan shortly after the start of the broadcast.

Unfortunately untrue mate

One of the previous PPV's were 'soft'-encrypted hence would have been viewable on your dbox etc.

Since then, all have been encrypted, although you never know they may slip up once in a while

Some of the true 'local' ppv events that your neighbours order are still unencrypted as its often not worthwhile for VM to encrypt material thats meant for an individual box. Due to delays in Emm streaming it wouldn't really be possible for a unique PPV tier to be created on a card in time for somebody who wishes to stream immediately.

Of course, with this kind of material your at the whim of the customer ordering the event. You will generally have no idea what, when or where these transmissions will occur as obviously they are not scheduled in any way !
