please take a look atmel question

hello fellas -rite ive fooked an atmel taking it off ov the simm in my 1000-now ive already asked if sum1 has a simm board i could buy but i was wondering if i bought the same atmel that ive fooked and put that on the simm would that work or does it need to b programmed first

hi m8 never removed amtel but but i am sure you will have to reprogramme it

You don't need to reprogram an Atmel to put on a SIMM.

so specter if i put a blank atmel where my old one used to b and put simm in box would it take the update for the info it needs

was it to get bk if so what was wrong with led sim/ volt method

mr chalk i didnt originaly intend to remove atmels-i got the box of ov sum1 cos my 2000 was having ir problems-this 1000 had had the no update mod done and was looping so i put the attys back down n it work for a while then it went pfffttt and i took off top to see one ov the legs had bent underneath so i tried to lift it to bend it straight and fooked even more legs.

ta spectre my soldering on is a hell ov a lot better than my removal so i should b ok there-just a shame maplins dont sell the buggers

But im sure ull find em cheaper
One quest though when you remove the chip
Do u have to use a willem on em to re-enter bk
or just solder blank new 1s
