please help me

ive been trying to flash my sagem dbox2 x1 chip but cant get anywhere.

1st i tried it using just a null modem cable and hyperconnection way. every thing went well until i tried to flash and nothing happened. now ive been trying to do it the IFA way and im really stuck now.
i keep getting these messages on the screen

flash-fs bootstrap loader (v1.5)

flash superblock not ok: no boot record

bootflash/root.new/platform/sagem-dbox2/kernal/os failed

and at the bottom of IFA it says ping dboxII failed.


does any1 know where im goung wrong???

From your location (Top of the league) you appear to be around Manchester. I'm in Bolton. If your not to far away I can flash for you. (Not literally)

If the box is not booting up fully you will get those messages
Have a read of the first part of this it shows you how to set your pc network card up

then use both nullmodem and crossover cable with IFA to flash it
try IFA 1.5.6

thanks for the reply m8. 1 question is an ethernet cable and a crossover cable the same thing?? sorry im a bit of a noob at these things

Your ethernet cable that your modem uses is a straight through one and wont work you need a ethernet crossover cable which has 2 wires crossed here is as explanation of both
