spent all night fixing my mates lappy ive reinstalled a new Os and loaded servive pack 3 but when i rebooted the password came up I deleted the accounts in admin cos im sick of him forgetting them

but when i reboot it says account no longer existists i set the original name and password as zero and zero now i cant log in to windows after 4 hours work im a bit sick what can i do apart from start again ??????????

Use one of the live CD and check and reset the admin account.

Normally on my builds I rename administrator (which you cannot delete) to somebody generic and then create a new account called administrator with a simple password with only guest privileges and switch logging on against it.

That way a dumb script attacks thinks its getting somewhere but in reality you are just tracking what it is attempting to do.

Get yourself a hold of Winternals Admin Pak/ERD Commander.

And as oneman said, reset the Admin account from there.
