I upgraded yesterday to the playstation plus, done a years membership. Main reason was that alot of beta's are gonna exclusive to it, so thought i would give it a try.
Anyway, when im on the ps3 and look at the "whats new" menu it shows Assasins Creed: Brotherhood beta for plus members. When i click on it, takes me to the ps store and the Assasins creed beta isn't there. I've try searching for it and still nothink shows up.
Now if it's the case that the beta is over, then im gonna be rightly pissed off. One of the main reasons I paid for the plus membership is for the Assasins creed beta as it was advertised, It seems they are listing something that doesn't exist, which is quite simply false advertising..

Basically you walk yes walk round with no weapons so your out for a stroll and you have to walk up to an enemy online opponant and push the x button next to him to kill him thats it (I MEAN THATS IT), while your walking to your target someone else online is hunting (hunting isthe wrong word, stalking? Strolling lmao) you.

Plus is ok for the free games and dynamic themes and avatars ect.. For beta's it may be ok in the future but the assassins creed one blows like a dolphins hole.

I subbed to plus and am pissed of that many of the exclusives are only exclusive until they show up in the normal PSN store.

Up to now there isnt much to say I've got my moneys worth. I got the full version of Little Big Planet free, which I have on disk anyway, but It's nice to not need the disk.

I thought it was pretty clear that most of the exclusive/early stuff mostly was beta demos etc ? Of course those are going to end up on public PSN eventually lol.

To me the PSN Plus right now is basically giving you early beta access to the big games if and when there's a beta and that's pretty much it, the rest of the stuff the discounts, extras and free stuff that's a part of your subscription - so not really free - it's all extras. I subbed mine for 3 months for a tenner or whatever it was. Wasn't much considering it was 3 months worth and already I've gotten my money's worth, to each to his own I guess depending on what you were expecting. People that buy a lot of content on PSN if they sub to Plus and happen to get a few discounts on stuff they'd have bought anyhow their subs already pay for themselves what with the money saved on the discounts when you look at it that way. And you've got LittleBigPlanet at no extra cost with faster loading times and you're still complaining.

All in all it's not a bad service in my opinion, it's not fantastic either mind you, but it will improve over time and I can't say much more than generally it's worth it for the money. If you know what you're getting going in.

Discounts showing up in regular PSN ? I'll have to check that out, I know there's a Special Offers section where select games get discounts but I don't go in there much and it's mostly shit games that get discounts with the occasional belter.

They've been charging for PS Home stuff for a while now, things like clothing and your virtual home/pad environment things like that, don't know if that's what you were on about but PS Home to me is a whole other subject that's great as it is but it's so far away from living up to it's potential in terms of what it could be that it's almost untrue. So much room for improvement there and people have been fielding great ideas for it as well about changing it up a little and integrating it seamlessly with the XMB and cutting load times etc some really cool ideas I have to say.

Anyway back on topic, I'll be interested to see what happens over the next 3 months with regards to my subscription. I'll probably still sub though because the only reason I did it in the first place was to play certain beta's early because I could and that won't change so....plus the extras help lol.

There's a lot of things on the American (and Japanese) Store fronts that ain't on the UK store. In fact I'd go far as to say we get nobbed on the content front. In fact I think the only game we've got that they haven't is Driver. That's it. That's why I mainly use my USA account for purchasing stuff because the UK one is simply lacking in comparison. I mean ffs it was only recently that the UK store caught up with regards to the menu layouts and demos etc having their own section instead of being lumped together with everything else.
