Michel Platini has been taken to hospital in Johannesburg after collapsing with a suspected heart attack this evening. The Uefa president was dining at La Pagalle restaurant in Sandton when he keeled over at the table. He was understood to be conscious.

I don't like him as Uefa chief but he was one hell of a footballer and I wish him well.
