As my other post on DNS blocking on a DDWRT router, I have setup PiHole

PI Hole is a DNS blocker you add lists of what you want to block

Designed to run on a Raspberry Pi but I have set it up on a old desktop running Debian Linux

I have 900k IP or domains in my black list

sweet, can you run dnsencrypt on the setup too?

heard they are removing the built in ad blocker some point soon

i have this set up on our network. there is a problem however with poorly written app sdks. some apps that use imrworldwide always want to send data there and when you block the dns resolution, the sdk will keep trying to send it over & over & over probably impacting battery life unless you remove the app
