Photoshop slicing ( not a rectangle )

hey all im in middle of making another website and ive got a custom shape for my main text on the site.. It's not rectangular and i want to be able to incorporte text to the very edge of the shape. is there a way to set a slice to another shape other than the default rectangle. Thanks Mark

The reason slices are rectangular is that browsers can only display rectangular images. In fact, all images are rectangular. It just sometimes doesn't look that way due to transparency. But don't use transparency if you can help it, since only the latest browsers support it, you're much better off slicing into square segments.
