photoshop cs3 ?

need a bit of help with cs3, i am trying to customise some wii covers, i've opened a wii cover i have and i'm trying to save a part of it so i can paste it onto another picture please see attached pic, my question is how do i go about saving this bit only so i can add it to other pictures, i can highlight it but not sure how to save it

Set the lasso selection tool to use point-to-point.

When you've selected the bit you want cut it and then paste it as a new layer in your template. Do not merge, you want to keep the layers. That way you can just move the disc picture layer under the wii 'header' and print.
