phone filters

hi all
my brother is with aol, i just sold him my old pc transfered his hd from his old pc to his new one,
renistalled os and drivers and software all works fine apart from he can't use his land line while he's on the net, he could before!

could the filters be playing up?

sorted it!!

numb nut had plug the build in modem into the phone point.
