pc proplem

hi , ive been working on a pc it boots upok but , just as its about to boot into windows after the xp logo it powers down ie , the fan on the cpu stops and u cant eject the cd/dvd rom , ive tried 2 different power supplies , not that , could it be the graphics card , its on board grapgics , and its a crppy emachine , 1st time in 0ver 7 years ive come across this problem ANY HELP WOULD B APPRECIATED

try running it in safe mode, also check the temp. in the bios if every thing is running cool

sounds like a windows file system error
