sold a PS2 game recently on ebay.. the buyer decided that he didnt like the game or whatever.. made a claim via paypal that the CD had scratches due to which its not playing and is faulty..

paypal emailed me and I responded that the cd was not faulty but still paypal decided in the other persons favor. Till now the guy has my money and the PS2 game that he never returned..

WHERE IS JUSTICE !!! paypal is shite..

Paypal are t*ssers m8. If ever I sell anything on ebay I only accept cheque , cash or postal orders. Drives me mad waiting for them to be delivered and people demand to pay by paypal( i tell them No!! read the auction)

Since I have done this I have not lost another penny!! Its hard to do but m8 dont accept paypal.

P.s I always pay people with paypal, when i buy something

I know.. but then people dont bid on the items as much as they would do on a listing offereing paypal as a method of payment..

I mean it would be great to not to accept paypal but dunno why buyers trends are towards items listed with paypal

Im in dispute ay the moment with a buyer,£90 involved i even offered the cnut a refund but he wants me to refund first before he sends the goods back...paypal are reviewing it at the moment.
i want the goods sent back so i can check them first and i dont trust the cnut to send the gear back anyway...whats my chances paypal will see it my way???

believe me.. dont refund before you have had the items back.. I have had this a few times.. paypal sucks..

empty your paypal account...

wait until your items are returned...

if paypal decides against you... then keep an eye on your account and cancel the DD before it debits...

Good luck mate !!

As long as you transfer the money FROM your paypal acc back into your BANK acc they cant touch it!! even if they decide in the other guys favour..

Thats how sellers rip peeps off.. you buy stuff and paypal the cash, then they take the cash from the pp acc and never send the goods..
Anyway, thats a simplistic look at it but the genaral jist is the same..

Due to reading how badly people are affected with paypal - although i never have had a bad experience - i have now closed my paypal account and i'm only going to accept cash or cheque....Also paying for goods in the same way..
I wasn't scammed but something i bought never arrived, they said they sent a second - which never arrived so i started a dispute and got a full refund...About two weeks later they reported me as a non-paying bidder so i complained to e-bay stating to them what had happened and that i had paid but still got a strike?? against me.FCUKIN TO**ERS

I thought of that too Marty.. but the only thing is that buyers are not intrested in bidding on items that dont offer Paypal.. I have always noticed that the bids are not as high as on those who offer Paypal..

I think we (buyers and sellers) have to change our attitude towards paypal.. its daylight robbery and should be stopped.

I've never once had a problem with ebay/paypal. Hope i never will.
But just reading this thread has made me think a little. I've always been carefull when using the internet for shopping etc... I never thought of people using paypal in that way. I think I will be even more careful than I was in the first place and maybe think twice to accepting / paying with paypal as quickly as I have done in the past.
I feel for the people who have been scammed.

I lost £35 through a scammer on ebay using Western Union. If i hadnt caught on a soon as i did i would have lost £600. You need to be careful abecause they are convincing and smart at what they do.
