The computer was updated a few hours ago but it no longer accepts my previous password. I didn't change the password at all. How do I manage to solve the problem? Any suggestion?

If it's linked to an MS account follow the steps on this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026971/microsoft-account-how-to-reset-your-password

If it's a local password try: 6 Ways to Reset Forgotten Windows 10 password for Administrator or Microsoft Account

Be wary of any software you download to reset your Windows password. Try the other methods first. If you do end up needing to download a password reset tool, make sure you scan it throughly with antivirus and antimalware tools before you run it.

You can reset the password on outlook.com if you logged in with Microsoft account. Or you need to make a password reset disk to change the password.

my wife is the admin. on the computer, she forgot the password to get into the computer, it says wrong password, then hint then reset. I tried to reset. but my usb isn't the right kind. is there a way to get in without the usb password reset , or can I use my other one somehow? I tried some free windows password rest tool like ntapassword or savewrin, but i don't know how to use it, can you help?

I found http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/ will tell you all. You need another PC to make that disk or that USB-stick. Then boot from it. Let's hope they didn't password-protect the BIOS and set it to 'boot from hard disc only'.

I had to clear a password 2 days ago. I used Trinity Rescue Kit which I have used in the past. It's a linux cd and is free and you use the winpass feature. Instruction videos on youtube.
