Ok I have a Travelmate 2500 Laptop The hard drive is partitioned into 2 x 20gig partitions. I am considering loading Vista onto the partition and trying it out that way to see how good it works on my laptop so need a little advice.

1. will vista give me an option of which drive to install to

2. How would I switch between drives

Not sure about the 1st question, previous versions of Windows always allowed more than one OS to be installed.

You choose which OS you want at boot.

u need to install vista from within windows xp

Just pop the disk in the drive.

Ensure that you don't select upgrade which is the default

you will then be prompted for which drive to install vista on.

Ensure you installed it to the drive xp is not installed on probably d or e and when it's all done.

Everytime you boot it will give the option to boot into vista or older version on windows- which is xp

I'm running like this atm and it's all good

installed and so far so good everything working any tips on a anti virus i was using nod 32 on XP will it work with vista.
