Bro-in-law has just bought a PSP with 3.90 firmware.

I only have the one battery which is the one that came with it, so it's important I do this right :)

AFAIK this is all I need to do....

1. Lift the pin inside my battery.
2. Format the memory stick and install the Pandora files.
3. Remove memory stick and remove battery.
4. Insert memory stick and insert battery.
5. PSP should power on by itself and take me to the Pandora menu.
6. Backup my battery firmware.
7. Flash PSP with whichever firmware I have added to the memory stick.
8. Reconnect pin inside battery.

It's at this point that I'm getting confused, how do I get the battery back to normal, is replacing the pin enough or do I need to flash the battery?

:err:

Cheers mate, very kind offer :)

Glad to report than I got it all sorted minutes after I wrote that post, lol

I was getting mixed up with 2 different tutorial, all I did was create a pandora, flash the firmware and return my battery to normal, no need to backup my battery firmware as I wasn't doing the software pandora hack anyway :)

Working great now, it's running 3.90 M33 :)

The battery that I pandora-ise and returned back to normal is now refusing to charge!

It has been working great for a week and I've just recieved a phone call from Bro-in-law saying he cannot charge the battery. :err:

What did I do wrong guys?

nothing mate it died prematurely unless pin has some off
