panasonic tz6 battery information

Just bought a battery off ebay (£5.99)for the daughters above camera and it says "this battery wont work in this camera" i have read that this is because of a firmware update so panasonic can rip us off because we will have to buy their own overpriced batteries:Angryfire
i hear that if i replace the 1.2 firmware with 1.1 firmware i can then use the cheaper batteries........does anyone know where i can get this 1.1 firmware as i'm having a bit of trouble locating it.....thanks.


warning for other tz owners...DO NOT TAKE UP PANASONICS OFFER OF UPDATING YOUR SOFTWARE TO THE 1.2...THEY MAY PROMISE SOME BETTER PERFORMANCE BUT REALLY THEY ARE TRYING TO STOP YOU FROM USING CHEAPER (but just as good) BATTERIES!!!!!!!!!
