Win 8/8.1 Outlook crashing

Hi, Hope someone can offer advice, please.

I use outlook 2010 on O/S Windows 8.1 and over the last few weeks it keeps crashing usually when I have not used it for a while when I restore it from the taskbar it will not open although the last screen used is displayed. Also, a couple of times it has stopped working when using it normally.

Can anyone please suggest a cause for this. I have noted some saying they have a problem since update 11 Nov 2015 KB3097877 but not specifically with outlook crashing.

i have the same problem....reinstalled again and it works...
