My sons original game sponge bob revenge of the flying dutchman is a blue disk and it wont load on his computer, Infact none of his games that are blue disks will play on his ps2 I even bought a new ps2 from grainger games and the still wont play the shop says they are very tempremental and the stopped making them due to people taking them back.

Now I have a problem my son is gutted and keeps asking if its ready yet (ouch)

Ive tried backing the disk up so its on a normal cd-r and all seems well but I keep getting tea coasters.

Has anyone got a back up of this game they could sort out for a £5 or a link to a clean download I am honestly stressed out as hes really upset as he has Asperger syndrome and goes on and on about it every day :proud:

any help please chaps :Fish:

was it a brand new PS2? or reburb's to me, sounds like the laser is faulty or on it's way out. they are known for this. i've had to replace the laser in my launch fat PS2 and the slim silver PS2

i've not heard of them stopping using blue disks...

some GAME stores re-polish game disks for a quid (so i've heard) might be worth cleaning up the disks a bit, it takes a thin layer of plastic off to get rid of the scratches and leave a nice gleaming surface.

yeh mate grainger games polish all games when you buy them and the did polish the one I bought but it still didnt work.

Thing is the have not got a new flying dutchman in stock we had to order a second hand one and wait a week for it.

honestly its has had me head batterd as he gets fixated on one game at a time and hammers them for about a month.

his stopped working half way through the levels thats when we bought another copy still didnt work so then we bought a new refurbished slim and the 2 games still didnt work.

so its cost us about £50 so far and still no flying dutchman when sony made the ps3 it was a liberty that ps2 were not compatible the scum bags lol

some launch 60gb PS3's are backwards compatible - but they're harder to find AND also have laser/overheating issues!
