Sorry about this but I am having a real game with this Gigablue Quad plus, it came with OpenATV 6.2 installed. First I had trouble getting Video but all sorted now. But I cannot seem to install softcam, I have put them by ftp into tmp found them on box and installed them, but cannot find in system to start. So then i found list of softcams in Menu to download so I did that but still cannot find in system? tried restarting box but camms not working or still cannot see them. Tried to Flash with Vix image (Quadplus) but box couldn't see image from usb have tried different usb's but still cannot flash, Really stuck in limbo here, Please help if you can
Regards

For OpenATV

Blue Button / softcam / softcam panel

Then set it up there

Hello JonMMM thanks for reply don't know why I couldn't find softcam panel before but I found it after your reply. Have 2.1.1 and 2.2.1 active but still not clearing? any advice?

How do I find which soft cam? Now trying to Flash box with Vix image but can not do that either it can see new image says 10 seconds to press POWER but I have tried both POWER and OKAY under panel. Just tried my cline on Duo its perfect. Putting Gigablue back on whilst I wait for your reply

If it is the Gigablue 4K box then you can only use Oscam.

This is driving me mad, The Box is Gigablue Quad plus (I presume it is the same as Gigablue HD Quad plus) but not 100%.
If you can help me would be really grateful. The problem can only be with the softcam as the cline works fine on the Vu+ Duo.
Could one of you point me in the right direction for setting this up or tell me a better image for it although I have been trying to flash with Vix image Gigablue/Quadplus but that will not flash. Do you know exactly which softcam works with it?

You need to use Oscam rather than CCamd as your softcam.

A CLine will work in Oscam

Would you mind reading attachment it is from sample of cccam.cfg file in the var/keys folder, Sorry but I just do not understand and I have been messing around for years on and off. If it has to be Oscam will I have to find new provider of can I amend ccline?

# ca4:id6:sid4:pmtpid4:ecmpid4:key16(01 02 03...)
#
#STATIC CW FILE : /var/keys/constant.cw

# in this file you can configure what CAIDs CCcam should prefer or ignore
# defaults to /var/etc/CCcam.prio
# file content can have ignores (I) and prio lists (P)
#
# note 1: I line affects both for ecm and emm (receive no emm on ignored systems)
# P line only affects ecm choice (emm still received for all available systems, not just the priority system)
#
# note 2: ident 0 means 'all idents'. So 'caid:0' is the same as 'caid'.
#
# note 3: for some systems (e.g. nagra (caid 18xx)), the ident is not known at the time the
# prio lists are checked. In that case, matching is done on caid only, even if the P line
# defines nonzero idents. So for example '1801:401' behaves the same as '1801' in a P line
# I lines work differently, they are checked two times, once before ecm or emm is received, again
# after ecm or emm are received (and nagra ident should be known)
# P lines are only checked once, before ecm received.
#
# note 4: if a P line contains caid:ident pairs which are not available for the current
# channel, that P line is not used for that channel.
# Example, channel has systems 626, 1801:401 then P line with "1801,100:96,626" is ignored by that channel,
# because channel doesn't have 100:96.
# But P line with "1801" works, and also "626,1801" will work for channel
#
# note 5: P lines are parsed in the order in which they are found in the prio file.
# Only the first matching P line is used
#
# situation 1: ignore allways this caid, all idents, on all channels
# I: caid
#
# situation 2: ignore allways this caid/ident pair
# I: caid:ident
#
# situation 3: ignore this caid/ident pair, on channel 'sid'
# I: caid:ident:sid
#
# situation 4: when both caid1 and caid2 exist for a channel, prefer caid1 over caid2
# P: caid1, caid2
#
# situation 5: when caid1:ident1 till caidN:identN exist for a channel, use them in order of this list.
# P: caid1:ident1, caid2:ident2, .., caidN:identN
#
# situation 6: when caid1:ident1 till caidN:identN exist for channel 'sid', use them in order of this list.
# Sid on first caid/ident pair identifies sid for which list is used. All other sids ignore this list.

No Idea mate have set up NLines in Oscam not CLines.

Have not read all the above as dont understand it but it appears to be refering to CCamd which will not work on your new box.

If its not the 4K box then cccam or mgcam should work.
Where are you putting your config and line files?
Does the cam install? And does it start?
Personaly i would use mgcam over cccam anyway

You have not said anything in your posts about where you have transferred the config files, so this may be your problem. OpenATV uses the following location for cam config files

/usr/keys

Sorry didn't think to state where I put files, Put softcams in Tmp all found on box once I install them and can see they are active. Config files are in usr/keys
will try setting up Osccam and or Mgam now
Thanks

Still need help please, could not get cccam working had seller on telephone helping. In the end returned to seller it is working now but with osccam and his files, can I convert my cline to work with osccam? I have tried converter it creates SERVER File but not USER File?
I'm up a tree with this need help as seller files cut off soon, not even sure where to put files? think it's usr/keys as that is where I see files at the moment. It also has file with CWS starting not sure about this either?

yes you can convert Cline to work with oscam

I will post a example oscam.server to what a cline will look like

edit your oscam.server and add this in

[reader]
label = cline
protocol = cccam
device = <server>,<port>
key = 0102030405060708091011121314
user = <username>
password = <password>
inactivitytimeout = 1
group = 1
cccversion = 2.3.0
cccmaxhops = 2
ccckeepalive = 1

obviously change server, port, username and password

Also very important in oscam.user make sure the user is in the same group as above

If needs be post your oscam.server oscam.conf and oscam.user files - removing any sensitive information.
