My suggestion would be to stick it in a drawer till November and then use it to scrape ice from your car window. Seriously though you could also use it as a spreader when applying thermal compound to a cpu.

The only (irdeto) channels that can be opened with codes are a few channels on 39e 12214/12482v 30000, (that I know of) ( tm5403m3 / tm f3/5 ) auto update these codes, you could try and see if your old card with the codes (can be found on the net) will work.
With the lock down still in place, at least this will give you some to do.
