Office for Mac

A friend of my daughters asked could I put Office on her Mac. I've never used one so I got of 2 Office versions for Mac versions (15-16) and both wont install the Mac's saying need 10.12 to install the Macs on 10.9.5

Can anyone help please ?

I'll have a look tomorrow. I know I had an old version of office that worked on lion. Worth mentioning it's free to update Mac's so if they can update i would recommend it.

I don't have much knowledge on mac's. I did try the update via the apple logo tab top left and it said no new updates available. I then read older macs need this that and the other (Macbook Pro 10.9.5). I didn't want to go down that road if I can help it, I'd sooner stick an old Office on that works and give it back.
My luck I'll end up wiping sh*t and never here the last of it

Plenty out there on some sites and they auto update to got to love a cracked app. My Mac air is just full of shall we say free software which i would of not liked to pay for.
