Oculus Quest 2

Been playing about with the Quest , so thought i would give this a try

Disabled the Wi-Fi from my Quest and Android mobile

Run the Quest app on my mobile and it connected to the Quest by Bluetooth and then set it to developer mode , and then used the pc program to sideload a game across

Was wondering if this could be a good idea if you're not playing games online would this stop a firmware update from them just in case they bring a block to stop you doing a sideload option in a new firmware update ?

It's been concerning me too about future updates spannering the cracked apps/ games. :)
I wonder if you could roll back firmware, or install a modded one?

Here is a video on how to manually update it

Will do a bit more research about it

Found the firmware updates Here but some are saying

The only way I’ve known to prevent the updates that actually works is to either block all FB ips or dns or turn off and remove WiFi settings. The issue that people will find if they want to downgrade to keep off FB is that they will be stuck with old single player games mostly. Most up to date games require newer firmware versions.

Yup you can go back no problem, as long as the firmware is a full version and not a partial update. Shouldn't be any problems with the links in my post
