Phone Unlocking o2 sims

wor lass bought a chocolate phone on o2 when she trys to put in one of those sim cards were you get 300 texts it wont register i tried it in my phone which i alread use one and it wont work in there any help please

Does your sim work in it?

If it does, then it sounds like you bought your sim from a market or similar, or maybe even ordered it yourself online.
The last few batches of the free sims which traders apply for and then sell for around a fiver have a time limit on them. Forget how long they last after dispatch but it isn't very long (on purpose). This was to try and stop the dealers selling them on.
