Earlier today, Nintendo released their next version of Switch firmware, called v8.1.0, sadly as usual they have updated the TSEC firmware and the Master keys, along with other internal system changes, as such the usual warning when it comes to playing and enjoying your modded consoles is now in effect, DO NOT UPDATE.
Now work has already started on studying the new firmware released, and keys have already been extracted, so it will not take long to update SX OS and other custom firmwares (which are also currently not working), but remember this does take time, previous updates which have changed everything like this recent one does, have taken between 2 weeks to over 1 month for developers to catch up.
Now for some good news, those with emuNAND setup as v8.0.1 and using SX OS v2.7.1 BETA, can safely update their sysNAND to v8.1.0 and still boot into either CFW/EMUnand to enjoy their homebrew and games, and have OFW for online legit playing, so the key is if you want to enjoy both worlds, setup now an EMUnand if you have not done so already!
So the key is to be patience, do not ask for updates on ETA when, and enjoy your Switch and your Games, by not updating right away!
