Not sure if i have version 1.4 or 1.5?

i am going to mod my xbox but i'm no sure if i have verion 1.4 or 1.5
I rekon it will be 1.4 as 1.5 is rare.
But if i solder the chip etc as if its a 1.4 and it turns out to be 1.5 will it f**k up the xbox or will it simply not work?
Or anyone got any ways of finding out if i have 1.4 or 1.5 without using a multimeter which i dont have.

gives two different ways to identify your version but opening box is more reliable.
never moded either version but should be very similar for both and the bios should be the same.

Thing is, i dont have one. So i'm not sure if its 1.4 or 1.5.

from the tutorial it looks like your going to need a multimeter, no other way round it

thats true i dont think it will matter if its 1.4 or 1.5 as its soldered to the same place

Bugger mate, u will need to find out in that case! sorry, i use the executer chips and with the 1.4 & 1.5 its the same install method. someone else had the same duo chip and wanted to know which version he had.

Touch your two probes together and turn the dial till it buzzes.

i know u wanna chip it..

what you want to do is softmod it and then you can find out your version in the Dash..

i though mine was a 1.4 but it turns out to be a 1.2..

just would be simple..

Seems to have worked

But the bootup screen does not go purple like the duo2 lite should do

It sais Xecuter 2 config loading

then displays a logo saying

XCUTER ROX MY BOX.

anyone know why?

well congrats.
but my guess is that u have flashes the bios with the Xecuter 2 software, rather than the DUO flash..

bare in mind i have never chipped an xbox, just sofmodded. so this is more an educated guess.

oh and shave an hour off ur chipping and u be able to do 4 maby 5 a day hehe
