The box show only 16 MB memory.
The memory extension board is missing, faulty or sliped out of the socket.
 
I think one of the chips might be loose. the box is only reading 16 instead of the 32 on the box display screen. will check this and post back
 
on opening the box it was discovered that there was a small circuit board unplugged. plugged this back in and the box flashed first time. thanks for the help guys
