Ive been haveing trouble with a nokia dbox 2x for a couple of weeks now,i have flashed it with numerous different
versions of software sportster,boxcracker,zorg etc.
when it flashes everything is fine but after 2 or3 reeboots it just hangs as to what i call "green screen".
I am using IFA2 with a networklead and a null modem lead everything looks to run ok,but the only thing that worries me
is something thats mentiond in the log of IFA2,"*** Warning: CPU Core has Silicon Bugs -- Check the Errata ***"
i have highlighted it in red in the log posted below is the CPU knackerd? or does anybody have any idieas as to whats wrong?

p.s i have flashed a few other dboxs the excact same way with no trouble.

can you give more details on this 'green screen' thing?
is it the whole screen or when watching channels, etc...

sorry i meant that the dbox has a "green screen",
one other thing is that when the box does boot into sporster (after severall attempts of booting) and the "waiting for channells" appears (or whatever it says)after about 30secs the tv goes all fuzzy and crackels and i havent even got chance to change the network settings so i can flashfxp my service file in.

Green screen means problem with the avia driver or problem with the avia chip set. Check the boot log.
The warning message in the log is a message to driver programmers to read the erata from the cpu producer.

so this is a hardware problem? , not a software problem?, does this mean the dbox is un-useable. Anymore information on this would be greatly appreciated.

T.I.A

I would probably guess something wrong with the flash chips?
As you say the image is fine when first flashed but then starts to go wrong after a few restarts etc.

Have you tried booting the box from your PCs hard drive using BootManager?
Liam.

thanks liam will try bootmanager and post back any results

Check the bootlog via bootmanager. You get every driver message there.

Ok i tried to flash (again) with bootmanager everything seemed to go fine but,
i still get the "green screen" every time (on the dbox screen) but it doesen't come-up with sporster
or anything even after several power on/off. ive even renamed the image to just flash.img.
heres the log from the flash below.

You need a boot log and not a flash log.
Connect box and pc via null modem cable, disable all option except com 9600 in the bootmanager options, klick on start, plug in your box.

ok after several attempts at boot up the dbox now just hangs on "loading kernel"
heres the boot log.
