My ps2 has been sat on the shelf for about 10 months needing the laser fitting, I had a new pvr 802 spare and the kids wanted it doing so i whipped out the old on boxed it back up and off we go.
Well sort of it works but makes an awfull noise kind of sounds like a duff bearing spinning up. I dont think it could be the spindle motor as it sounds to slow so am guessing it must be somthing to do with the laser as it only seems to do it as it boots the game once its running its ok.
Has anyone got an idea what it could be.
