No Sound on certain channels [ac3]

Hiya lads

something is bugign me

on certain channels i am not getting any sound however i notice the difference in the epg in terms of the symbols on the righthand side

i just realised that some of the movies channels are broadcasting in ac3 ie starship trooopers and war of the worlds

i have to set the audio selection to normal english to get sound back

never noticed this before

i have used ac3 before on xvid movies

do i need a specifc decoder to get this to work ?

with most images you can select english by pressing green button
if yours is set to tv/radio you need to disable in settings

i sometimes getting this too...
need to press the green and change the audio now and again.
only seems to happen on comm 7.5.
