no sound from starview when recorded to dvd

HI there

for some reason I cannot get any sound from my star view, when it is recorded to my Toshiba dvdr16 DVD recorder, I have changed scart lead, several times, to no avail, any ideas or could it be dodgy scart out from the starview it works fine to my TV, if i come out of scart one it has sound, but not from scart two is this a known problem or is it my box
